Wander VeilPrivacy Policy
Wander Veil is a travel planner for the archaeological sites of ancient Greece. It has no account, no ads and no analytics. What you plan stays on your iPhone.
In short
- No account, no sign-in. We never ask who you are.
- No tracking, ads or analytics. The app contains no third-party SDKs.
- Your plans stay on your device. Journeys, favourites, notes and visits are stored locally.
- Maps come from Apple. Map views, place search and directions use Apple Maps.
- No location permission. The app never asks for or reads your location.
- You stay in control. Export your journal as JSON or erase everything in Settings.
Who we are
This policy covers the Wander Veil app for iPhone (“the app”) and this website. Wander Veil is published by its independent developer (“we”, “us”). If you have a question about your privacy, write to mail@crazyfortunelive.click.
We do not collect personal data through the app. We do not run servers that receive data from it, and we have no way to see what you plan, save or write in it.
What the app keeps on your device
To work as a planner, the app saves what you create in its own storage on your iPhone. This data never leaves the device through us.

The traveller name is optional and is only shown inside the app. The start point you choose, whether from an Apple Maps search, a pin on the map or one of the catalog sites, is stored only on your device.
This data is part of your device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) if you have backups turned on. Apple handles those backups under its own terms, and we cannot access them.
The site catalog (texts, coordinates and drawn scenes for thirty sites) is built into the app and is the same for everyone. Reading it sends nothing anywhere.
Apple Maps
Maps, place search and directions in Wander Veil come from Apple Maps through Apple’s MapKit framework, and they need a connection. When you use them, your device sends Apple the information needed to answer:
- Showing the map: the map area you are looking at, so map tiles can load.
- Searching for a start point: the text you type (for example, a town, hotel or port), limited to the area of Greece.
- Surveying a leg: the coordinates of the start and end of that leg and the transport you picked (drive, walk or transit).
These requests go from your device to Apple, not to us. Apple processes them under the Apple Privacy Policy. The results are shown to you, and surveyed legs are saved with your journey on your device.
When you tap Open in Apple Maps or Navigate, the app hands the destination to the Apple Maps app, which takes over from there.
Location
The app does not ask for permission to use your location and does not read, store or share it. Distances in the app are measured from the start point you choose yourself.
If you choose Navigate from my location, the Apple Maps app opens and may use your location under the permission you have given Apple Maps. That happens inside Apple Maps, and Wander Veil does not receive your location.
Export and delete your data
- Export: Settings → Export journal as JSON creates a readable file with your journeys, stops, favourites, notes and visits. You choose where to save or share it.
- Erase: Settings → Erase all data removes journeys, favourites, notes, visits, your name and the start point. The built-in catalog stays.
- Remove the app: deleting Wander Veil from your iPhone deletes everything it stored on that device.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete on our side. You can still write to us with any request.
Third parties, tracking and links
- The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics or tracking SDKs and does not use the advertising identifier.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data, because we do not collect it.
- The app’s privacy manifest declares that no data is collected and no tracking takes place.
- Site cards may link to official pages, for example for tickets and opening hours. Those links open in your browser, and the sites you visit have their own privacy policies.
- If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device settings, Apple may give us aggregated crash and usage statistics that do not identify you. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Children
The app collects no personal data from anyone, including children. It is suitable for travellers of any age.
This website
- This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking.
- Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address as part of the request. See the Google Privacy Policy.
- The contact form on the home page is a preview only: it does not send or store what you type. To reach us, please email us directly.
- When you email us, we use your address and message only to answer you, and we do not add you to any list.
- The company hosting this website may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and operation.
Changes to this policy
If the app or this website changes how it handles data, we will update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
